A different route to scale

Many of the best restoration actors in West Africa are water authorities, NGOs and conservation groups with deep local credibility but no carbon-market capacity. At Songor, MAIS Eco brings the PDD, MRV, legal structuring and commercialisation. Our partners stay recognised for the restoration, the hydrology and the science they lead.

Water before trees

Hydrological restoration around Songor has already begun, including creek dredging and desilting alongside mangrove trials. That groundwork is the main reason restoration projects in lagoon systems survive, and the main thing many of them lack.
